This summary is a convenience. The full text below is what applies.
01Education only
The book, the Scorecard and this site are general information and education about running a dental practice. They are written for practice owners who want to think about how their practice runs, and they are not tailored to your situation.
02Not professional advice
Nothing here is clinical, legal, tax, accounting, financial, investment, insurance, employment or compliance advice, including advice about privacy law, workplace rules or your state dental board. Those rules differ by state and change over time. Talk to a qualified, licensed professional before you act. Clinical decisions stay with licensed clinicians. Nothing here is a recommendation about patient care.
03No promise of results
Nobody can promise your results, and we do not. What happens in your practice depends on many things we do not control: your market, your team, your systems, your effort and your decisions. Examples, estimates, ranges and comparisons of time or money are illustrations to show scale. They are not predictions, they are not typical, and they are not a promise that you will save or earn anything. Some people see no change.
04Figures and sources
Market figures, such as pay and practice-ownership numbers, come from public sources like the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics and the American Dental Association’s Health Policy Institute. They are accurate as of the date of the source and may be out of date. When the book prices a job at what the market pays for it, that is an estimate to show how much the work is worth, not what your practice would spend or save.
05The Scorecard
The Scorecard turns your own answers into a score using fixed rules. It does not judge the quality of your care, your team or your practice. It is a self-check to help you decide where to look first, not an audit, a valuation, a benchmark against other practices or a diagnosis.
06Stories and fictional characters
Dr. Marcus Hale, who appears in the book and on the site, is a fictional composite. He is not a real person, and any resemblance to one is a coincidence. Stories and examples are labeled. None of them is a promise that you will have the same experience.
07Our financial interest
Fred Yalmeh is a co-founder of NexaEra and offers Dental Brain OS. The book and the Scorecard exist to help you see how your practice runs, and Dental Brain OS is the product the book describes. If you choose it, we benefit, and the book says so at the start.
Descriptions of Dental Brain OS are general. What you receive is what your written agreement says. AI tools can make mistakes, so a person should review anything that involves patients, billing, staff, or legal or financial matters before it goes out.
08Patient information
Please do not send patient names, charts, images or any other health information about patients through this site or by email to us. We are not set up to receive it. If you send it by mistake, tell us at hello@dentalrecoded.com and we will delete it. See also the Privacy Policy.
09We are independent
Dental Recoded is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any dental association, licensing board, government agency, software company, or advertising or social platform. Names we mention belong to their owners and appear only to describe sources or tools.
